Tara Dakides and Anne-Flore on Rome
Waterbury VT - Rome Snowboard Design Syndicate is pleased to announce the signing of Tara Dakides and Anne-Flore Marxer to their women’s pro team. They’ll be joining the ranks of Marie France-Roy and Silvia Mittermueller and rounding out one of the most progressive women’s teams in the world.
“Tara is a woman of larger than life stature and we’re glad to welcome her aboard the team,” says Team Manager John Cavan,"and Anne Flore has been in the snowboarding spotlight for the last few seasons with her amazing style. It was a no brainer for us to add these two to the team, we expect big things!”
After leaving Omatic Snowboards this past fall Tara has been a free
agent in a sea of welcoming companies. When a deal fell through with
Flow Snowboards, Rome was there to put an offer on the table. Without
hesitation Tara signed the contract and can now be seen rocking the
LoFi 1985 for jibbing, the Vinyl for all around freestyle use, and for
bindings the Strut. Tara had this to say, “With my image and my riding
style Rome is a brand that fits my needs and I fit it’s image, I should
have considered them sooner.”
With the debacle at Burton Snowboards this past fall Anne-Flore
along with many other talented riders were left sponsorless. While she
initially took the time to ride for her other sponsors Rome was always
there considering her. Once Tara had signed it was easy to persuade the
talented rider to join her Billabong team mate. “I love that Rome has
something for every rider and they really fit my carefree fun loving
attitude,” said Anne-Flore. Anne’s board of choice for backcountry and
hard charging is the Blue, for her park domination she will be on the
Vinyl. Gracing the presence of her feet will be the Memphis boot and
Madison binding.
